A global, Top logistics provider is looking for a motivated and commercially sharp Business Development Manager to drive growth across the South. You’ll be representing a major name in the industry, with a strong reputation in road freight, from domestic and European full loads and part loads to groupage and dedicated transport services.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being out in front of customers, building relationships, spotting opportunities, and shaping road-based transport solutions that genuinely make a difference. You’ll also have the advantage of tapping into wider services like warehousing, customs support, and e-commerce fulfilment, giving you plenty of ways to add value and stand out in a competitive market.
Must have previous experience in Freight OR Logistics
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: United Kingdom
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 plus commission & company car

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to win new business across freight forwarding, warehousing, and supply chain services.
• Identify and engage prospective clients across key industries in the South West, including manufacturing, retail, and e-commerce.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, from SMEs to large enterprises.
• Collaborate with internal operations, customs, and commercial teams to deliver tailored, end-to-end solutions.
• Represent the company at regional networking events, trade shows, and industry forums.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline and performance updates.
Skills & Attributes:
• Proven success in B2B sales within logistics, freight, or supply chain sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the South West business landscape and regional logistics challenges.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-starter with a hunter mentality and a passion for delivering value to clients.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
