Job description

Our client are a fast growing, award winning energy consultancy with ambitious growth plans and an established national partner network. Renowned for delivering exceptional service and commercial value, they work with a wide range of businesses and strategic partners across the UK. We're looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth through the acquisition of new business partners. This is a field based role focused on identifying opportunities, building relationships, negotiating commercial agreements and developing a strong pipeline of prospective partners. You'll take ownership of the full partner acquisition journey, from initial outreach through to onboarding and early stage development, helping create long term, revenue generating partnerships. Telecoms, channel sales or indirect sales experience would be highly desirable, but we're also keen to speak with successful new business professionals from other B2B sectors. The Role: • Identify, target and engage prospective partners that align with the business growth strategy • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to signed agreements • Deliver compelling presentations and communicate a clear commercial value proposition • Negotiate commercial terms and confidently overcome objections • Attend networking events and industry functions to generate new opportunities • Support new partners through onboarding and help drive early success • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth partner transitions and ongoing development • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and forecasting About You: • Proven success in business development, new business sales, channel sales or partner acquisition • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills with a genuine hunter mentality • Experience managing a structured sales pipeline and achieving growth targets • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills • Ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers • Commercially astute with strong qualification skills • Highly organised, self motivated and results driven • Experience within telecoms, managed services, utilities or a partner led sales environment would be advantageous What's on Offer? • Competitive basic salary • Uncapped commission structure • Car allowance • Flexible and remote working options • Company pension scheme • Ongoing training and development • Clear progression opportunities • Supportive team culture and regular company events
