Annual salary: up to £50,000.00 Business Intelligence Team Leader Location: Remote, UK Based Contract: Permanent, full time, subject to security clearance Salary: £50,000 per annum plus benefits Important: Applicants must be currently based in the UK and have the unrestricted right to work in the UK at the time of application and throughout their employment. We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Team Leader to lead and develop a high performing BI team, delivering high quality reporting, dashboards and analytics that support business decision making across Mears. This is a remote first role, offering flexibility while working closely with stakeholders across the organisation. In this role you will provide technical and people leadership to BI developers and analysts, overseeing the end to end delivery of BI solutions. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritise workloads and ensure BI outputs are delivered to agreed standards, timescales and security requirements. About the Role: • As a Business Intelligence Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and delivery of BI solutions that provide actionable insight and support strategic objectives across the business. • Lead and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts, supporting performance, development and engagement • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective BI solutions • Oversee the development, testing and deployment of reports, dashboards and analytics • Design and maintain data models, dimensional models and schemas to support reporting and analysis • Ensure BI solutions follow best practice for performance, scalability, security and reliability • Monitor delivery progress, manage risks and ensure successful project outcomes • Optimise BI performance through effective data modelling and query optimisation • Maintain documentation and reporting standards and provide training and support to business users Key Criteria: • Proven experience in a BI leadership or senior BI developer role • Strong people management and line management experience within a remote IT environment • Extensive experience with Power BI and Microsoft data platforms • Strong SQL skills with experience in database design and data modelling • Experience working with hybrid architectures and cloud based platforms such as Azure and Microsoft Fabric • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and manage changing priorities • Excellent communication, problem solving and stakeholder management skills • Experience of remote team leadership and delivery Benefits • Family friendly policy to include enhanced maternity/paternity leave and much more. • Generous Pension Scheme • Sick Pay • Refer a friend scheme (total award £1000) • Share saver scheme • Eye test vouchers • Employee Assistance Programme (Access to Free counselling service) • Wellbeing service (Access to trained mental health & wellbeing advisors) • Mears Annual Family Fun Day for you and your family to places like Blair Drummond Safari Park, M&Ds Theme park, fully paid for including lunch • Mears Rewards - A performance recognition platform whereby you can be rewarded in high street vouchers • Volunteering Leave - Mears supports employees to undertake volunteering in the community, in support of our social value commitment • Excellent training and development opportunities • 25 days holiday entitlement along with bank holidays.
