Job Title: Buyer Location: Leeds Sector: Automotive Manufacturing Recruiter:Elevation Recruitment Group About the Opportunity Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing automotive manufacturing business based in Leeds to recruit an experienced Buyer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where procurement plays a critical role in supporting production, driving cost efficiencies, and strengthening supplier relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure the timely sourcing of materials and components required for production. Key Responsibilities • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for automotive components and raw materials • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance targets are met • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements with suppliers • Monitor supplier performance and address any supply or quality issues • Work closely with production and planning teams to ensure continuity of supply • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement across the supply base • Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company procedures Skills & Experience Required • Previous experience in a Buyer / Procurement / Purchasing role within a manufacturing environment • Automotive or engineering sector experience highly desirable • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills • Experience managing suppliers and improving supply chain performance • Strong analytical and organisational skills • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment What’s on Offer • Opportunity to join a growing and innovative automotive manufacturer • Collaborative and supportive team environment • Career development opportunities within procurement and supply chain
