Cable Jointer - Kent Location: Kent & Surrounding Areas Salary: Competitive & Benefits We are actively seeking a skilled and proficient Cable Jointer to join our team, serving Kent and its neighbouring areas. As a Cable Jointer, you'll oversee LV Jointing operations, ensuring the safe and expert installation of jointing activities across various electricity networks, all while strictly adhering to company protocols and safety measures. Cable Jointers are at the heart of our business. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to develop an exciting career and further progress within our clients business. So, what will I be doing? Working as part of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out jointing, cabling, and excavation work on a pre-planned and quick response basis. You will take responsibility for the safety of yourself and colleagues, acting as an ambassador for a strong safety culture in everything you do. You will also: • Review and understand work content detailed on plans and drawings. • Carry out risk assessments of the workplace. • Complete LV jointing works in accordance with safe working practices and in compliance with the adopting DNO’s and IDNO’s codes of practice. • Ensure the jointing van is kept tidy and that replenishment of consumables is carried out as necessary. • Accurately record details of work undertaken. What do you need to have? To be considered as a Cable Jointer, you must be motivated and hard-working, with a skilled background in HV/LV Jointing. Experience in working with a DNO or IDNO would be fantastic but is not essential. We are also looking for: • Enthusiasm and drive, with a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing business and project priorities. • A high regard for safety, embedding yourself in our safety culture and adhering to guidelines in everything you do. • Strong communication skills and an ability to convey technical aspects in a clear manner. • A full UK driving licence. • You will also ideally have the following relevant tickets (desired): • HV Jointing, CSCS Card, Emergency First Aid, Driving Licence, NRSWA, and SMSTS.
