Job description
Job Context:
1.The post holder reports to the Team Manager in both CAMHS an the Youth Justice Service
2. Work directly with children across the Youth Justice Service from pre court, post and in a community of custodial setting
3. Assume clinical responsibility for own case list and case management of children, adolescents and families.
4. To provide specialist assessments of clients referred to the team, and brief intervention where appropriate
5. Make a clinical formulation from a standard CAMHS assessment, including risk assessment, on which to recommend a treatment intervention offer.
6.To work autonomously and participate in the delivery and development of patient centred, evidence-based care as appropriate.
7. Assess safeguarding issues and refer concerns to Child Protection teams.
8. Provide consultation to partners such as police, project Engage team, YJS team on young peoples' mental health and support them in deepening their understanding of trauma-informed practice.
