Project Manager – Capital Projects Slough | 6 months (temp to perm) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a busy Capital Team within a large NHS organisation. You will play a key role in delivering a varied portfolio of capital projects (maintenance and refurbishments). The Role You will be responsible for managing capital schemes from feasibility through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include: • Managing end-to-end delivery of capital projects (design, procurement, construction) • Leading feasibility studies and developing project briefs with stakeholders • Producing specifications and overseeing tender processes • Managing contractors, consultants, and on-site works • Monitoring budgets, timelines, and quality of delivery • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and health & safety requirements • Providing regular project updates to senior stakeholders • Supporting the wider capital programme delivery About You We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with strong technical and stakeholder management skills. Essential: • Degree or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, surveying, or related discipline • Proven experience delivering complex capital projects • Strong budget management and commercial awareness • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Desirable: • Professional membership (e.g. RICS, CIOB, RIBA) • Experience within healthcare or public sector environments • Familiarity with CAD or design software
