Job description

Aspen Court Nursing and Dementia Care Home is a modern, purpose built care home located on the peaceful northern outskirts of Taunton, Somerset. The home provides specialist Nursing, Dementia and Complex Care for up to 42 residents in a safe and supportive environment focused on dignity, wellbeing and person centred care. Care Assistant Contract • £12.71 per hour • Full time and Part time contracts available • Day shifts: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (30 minute unpaid break and two 15 minute paid breaks) • Night shifts: 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM (1 hour paid break) • Alternate weekends required • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata) Role Overview As a Care Assistant, you will support individuals with a range of complex needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions and other long term health challenges. Your role is to provide safe, consistent and person centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow individual care plans and support structured routines, helping to create a calm, stable and supportive environment. You will build positive relationships with residents, understanding their needs and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing. This is a hands on role that requires patience, resilience and a calm approach, supporting both the physical and emotional needs of residents while ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently at all times.
