About the Role As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £17.49 for day shifts and £18.24 for waking night shifts. This position involves variable part-time hours per week and hours change dependent upon term time and non-term time. We are recruiting for a small team of 5 part-time Care Support Assistants and 1 bank Care Support Assistant to share the below shift patterns: Term time (20 hour) Monday to Thursday – 4.00pm until 10.00pm Friday – 3.00pm until 10.00pm Saturdays – 8.00am until 5.00pm Non-term time (34.5 hours) Monday to Friday - 8.00am until 8.00pm Saturday – 8.00am until 5.00pm Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant • Assisting our client to meet their personal care and toileting needs • Assisting our client with their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible • Providing companionship and emotional support • Helping with household tasks and meal preparation • Supporting our client to attend appointments and community activities • Administering medication when required What We’re Looking For To be successful as a Care Support Assistant, you’ll need: • A caring and empathetic nature • Good communication skills • A genuine desire to support others • Basic IT and record-keeping skills • A full UK driving licence is advantageous • Experience in working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour would be an advantage – full training provided Additional Information Person-centred care is very important to us here at Your Life Your Way and you will have the opportunity to meet our client during the recruitment process.
