We're looking for a Category Coordinator to join a growing and dynamic team, taking ownership of key product categories and ensuring the seamless flow of products from supplier to customer.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory management or operations, who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
The Role
As a Category Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing assigned product categories, overseeing inventory levels, coordinating customer orders and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers alike.
Working closely with internal teams, freight providers and warehouse partners, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring products are delivered on time, stock levels are maintained and operational processes run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage inventory, purchasing activities and supplier relationships across assigned product categories.
• Monitor stock levels, customer demand and consumption trends to ensure continuity of supply.
• Coordinate customer orders from purchase order through to final delivery.
• Prepare and process shipping, export and inventory documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders and warehouses to ensure timely deliveries.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve supply chain issues.
• Produce and analyse inventory, consumption and operational reports.
• Maintain accurate ERP records and support stock reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while building strong internal and external relationships.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical ability with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
Essential:
• Experience involving finance-related responsibilities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
• Experience within supply chain, purchasing, inventory management or logistics
• Experience using ERP systems
• Understanding of import/export documentation and shipping processes
