MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • To work alongside the units full time chef to ensure the weekend menus remain well balanced and nutritious and take into account dietary requirments. • To follow any dietary or food preparation guidelines as provided in service user care plans and guidance by health care professionals • To ensure that the storage, preparation and cooking of all food is carried out using the highest standards ofhygiene • Ensure high standards of food management within current Food Hygiene regulations and policies andprocedures • To use electrical and mechanical catering equipment as appropriate • To ensure the maintenance and security of catering equipment notifying your supervisor and appropriate people and agencies regarding repair and replacement as appropriate • To be responsible for the storage and use of cleaning items in accordance with COSHH • To contribute to other food related functions as required by theservice • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with the service users, contributing to the creation of a homely and pleasant living environment for each serviceuser • During the course of yourworkyou will at all times conductyourself in a professional manner acting as a role model to colleagues and service users contributing to the delivery of quality services.
