Agency Social Worker - Children in Our Care (Court Team) Location: Blackburn with Darwen Rate: £39 per hour Hybrid Working: Office-based 3-4 days per week Blackburn with Darwen Children's Services, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking an experienced Agency Social Worker to join its Children in Our Care (CIOC) Court Team. This role is primarily focused on care proceedings and court work. While there may be some involvement with children who remain looked after following the conclusion of proceedings, the main responsibility will be managing cases through the court process. Requirements: • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience • Strong background in care proceedings, court work, and longer-term safeguarding • Social Work England (SWE) registration • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle • Experience using Liquidlogic Children's System (LCS) is desirable • Ability to manage a caseload independently while working effectively within a team • Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet local authority and court timescales What's on offer: • Competitive pay rate of £39 per hour • Hybrid working with a minimum of 3-4 office days per week • Opportunity to join a well-performing local authority with a Good Ofsted rating If you have strong court experience and are looking for your next agency opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
