Job description

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Support Workers and Senior Support Workers across Liverpool and North Wales (Flintshire) to join our specialist crisis teams. The Role:As a vital part of our specialist Liverpool-based team, you will provide day-to-day support (activities, appointments, family contact) to children in residential settings. You will be responsible for: • Engaging and building trust with young people using creative methods. • De-escalating heightened behaviours and maintaining a safe environment. • Providing accurate daily records and incident reports to shape long-term care plans. What You Will Bring: • Experience: At least 6 months of paid UK care experience (ideally in a residential setting). • Skills: Proven ability to use de-escalation techniques and make sound decisions in challenging situations. • Mindset: A calm, resilient, and non-judgemental approach during crisis situations (e.g., aggression or self-harm). • Requirements: PMVA training is highly desirable (or a willingness to train). You must have a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one). • Ideally, you will have a driver's licence and business insurance to support community activities.
