Class 1 Driver (Days) Location: Rutland Area Salary: £14.10 - £14.50 per hour Due to continued growth, our client a leading logistics and general haulage business are seeking experienced Class 1 Day Drivers to join their transport team, delivering palletised freight using curtain-sided articulated vehicles. Key Responsibilities • Complete deliveries and collections of palletised general haulage • Safely operate Class 1 articulated vehicles, returning to the depot daily • Ensure loads are secured and transported safely • Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting • Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records • Provide a professional service to customers at collection and delivery points • Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport legislation • Maintain high standards of vehicle care and road safety Requirements • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card • Previous Class 1 driving experience • Experience with curtain-sided trailers would be advantageous • Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations • ADR Licence would be advantageous • Professional and customer-focused approach Salary & Benefits • £14.10 per hour (Class 1 Day Driver) • £14.50 per hour (Class 1 ADR Day Driver) • Tax-free meal allowance of £1,150 per annum • 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays • Group profit share bonus • Medicash scheme • Salary Extras benefits platform • Monday to Friday with typical start times between 06:00 - 06:30 Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
