General Classroom Support Assistant – Year 4Location: Ashton, Preston Full Time: Monday – Friday, 08:30am – 15:30pm Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Full Academic Year (2026/2027) Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Ashton area of Preston. This is a full-time position supporting a Year 4 class (KS2), starting in September 2026 and continuing for the full academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive school environment and make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development. Key Responsibilities • Provide general classroom support within a Year 4 setting • Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons • Support pupils with their learning, both in groups and on a 1:1 basis where required • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment • Support classroom management and behaviour expectations • Assist with preparation of classroom resources and activities Requirements • Essential: Previous experience supporting children within Key Stage 2 (KS2) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • A proactive, adaptable, and patient approach • Ability to work effectively as part of a team • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development What We Offer • Competitive hourly rate of £14.25 per hour • Full-time, consistent work for the entire academic year • Support from a dedicated consultant • Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a supportive school If you’re an experienced KS2 support assistant looking for a full-time role from September, we would love to hear from you.
