Cleaner

Job Overview We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team, helping us maintain our Hotel on the Barbican to a consistently high standard. You will be responsible for ensuring each room is spotless, welcoming and ready for the next guest. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, is flexible with hours and can work quickly and efficiently between guest changeovers. Applicants must live permanently in Plymouth (Devon, UK). You must also be available during school holidays and summer holiday periods (planned absences can be agreed in advance). Please do not apply if you are in full-time education or not planning to stay in Plymouth long-term. We are hiring on a rolling basis. Opportunity for more hours during Summer and staff covers. Duties • Cleaning hotel, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas, to a high standard • Changing bed linens, towels, and replenishing guest amenities • Checking rooms for maintenance issues or damage and reporting promptly • Following cleaning checklists to ensure consistency • Keeping cleaning supplies stocked and equipment maintained • Working to tight turnaround times between guest check-outs and check-ins • Assisting with laundry duties when required Requirements • Proven cleaning experience (Airbnb, hotel, or serviced apartments experience ideal), but training will be provide • Excellent attention to detail • Organised, punctual, and self-motivated • Able to work independently and manage time effectively • Comfortable with physical tasks and being on your feet • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holiday periods If you’re hardworking, take pride in creating a spotless and welcoming space for guests, and can work independently while managing quick turnarounds, we’d love to hear from you.
