Our client is seeking reliable and detail-focused Cleaning Assistants to provide high-quality cleaning and housekeeping services across university facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Salary & Shifts:
• Salary: £24,479 pro rata
• Contract Type: Permanent & Fixed-Term Opportunities Available
• Available Shifts:
• Permanent:
• 10 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (typically 6:00am – 8:00am)
• 2 hours per week, Saturday only (typically 6:00am – 8:00am)
• 14 hours per week, Saturday & Sunday (typically 6:00am – 2:00pm) – Start September 2026
• 6 hours per week, Saturday & Sunday (typically 5:00pm – 8:00pm) – Start September 2026
• Fixed-Term:
• 15 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (typically 6:00am – 9:00am)
• Fixed-Term until 31st March 2027

Job Role:
• Deliver cleaning and housekeeping services across university premises
• Clean and service facilities, offices, communal areas, and commercial spaces
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively
• Follow cleaning schedules, procedures, and health & safety requirements
• Maintain safe, secure, and hygienic environments
• Report issues or hazards to supervisors as required
• Use digital devices and email systems to support communication and service delivery
• Undertake manual handling duties where required
• Support colleagues and provide cover across services when necessary
