Are you looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the direction of a growing accountancy practice, rather than simply reviewing accounts and moving onto the next file?
We're working exclusively with a highly regarded independent accountancy practice that's looking to appoint an experienced Client Accounts Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of accounts, tax and advisory services.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who enjoys mentoring others, reviewing work to a high standard and building trusted relationships with clients.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the review process across a varied client portfolio, ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently and on time, while supporting the wider team with technical guidance and day-to-day leadership.
Alongside managing workflow, you'll also gain exposure to tax advisory projects, giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience beyond compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Review statutory accounts and a range of business and personal tax returns
• Oversee quality control across the accounts and tax function
• Manage workflow, deadlines and team capacity
• Mentor and support junior members of the team
• Act as a technical point of contact for colleagues
• Build strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and advice
• Assist with tax planning and advisory projects
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and client delivery
About You
We're keen to speak with ACA or ACCA qualified accountants who have developed their career within practice and are confident reviewing accounts and tax work.You'll ideally bring:
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and UK taxation
• Experience reviewing the work of others
• Previous responsibility for managing client portfolios
• A collaborative leadership style with a genuine interest in developing people
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A proactive approach and desire to improve processes
