Clinical Fellow in Palliative Medicine

JOB PURPOSE 1. To work as part of the Hospice medical team to assist in the provision of a palliative medicine service to St Wilfrids Hospice. 2. To support the clinical team, especially ward based junior doctor playing an incrementally senior role on the ward as experience is gained. 3. To be involved in teaching and learning, in clinical audit and other governance activities. 4. To gain experience and skills in palliative medicine, across hospice and community services, to equip the postholder to apply for formal higher training posts in the specialty, alternatively to enhance prospects and clinical skills for future trainees in medicine or general practice.
