Job description

1. The clinical commitments required of the appointee will be as detailed in the weekly programme of duties though service needs may require alteration of the timetable without notice. The appointee will be required to visit any patient in any establishment forming part of the Trust at the request of the consultant and will take part in internal cover arrangements during the absence of colleagues on annual leave or study leave. 2. The appointee will be required to undertake those administrative duties commensurate with the post. 3. So far as is consistent with proper discharge of the above duties the post holder undertakes to deputise from time to time for absent colleagues. 4. The post holder undertakes, exceptionally, to perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances. 5. The post holder undertakes, exceptionally, to be available for such irregular commitments outside normally rostered duties as are essential for continuity of patient care.
