You hold a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and be HCPC registered. With a working knowledge of IRMER, IRR and be able to undertake audits. Radiation Protection Supervisor training/qualification would be desirable. We have a duty to apply to the DBS disclosure on successful candidates. As our Lead Radiographer , you will: • Provide clinical leadership within a highly specialised area. • You will participate in departmental QA, audit and all aspects of mandatory training as well. • As a clinical lead you will enjoy scoping to develop policies and procedures. • Deputise and support Radiology Manager. • Supervise and develop other members of staff, inlcuding to mentor students and perceptees. • Work in partnership supporting practitioners and other departments around the hospital. • See each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy. • Excellent communication and team working abilities. To Succeed as a Lead Radiographer, you will: • Significant post qualification experience in MRI. Training in advanced MRI techniques including cardiac MRI. • Experience in a management position in an operational or service management capacity. • Experience of dealing with challenging situations. • Excellent team working, organisational and leadership skills • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to manage staff effectively • Well-developed analytical skills and innovative problem solving abilities. • Possess mature judgement and decision-making skills. • Exceptional Patient Care • Awareness of budgetary implications and commercial impact • Detailed understanding of Clinical Governance. • MRI Safety Qualification preferable.
