CNC Mill-Turn

Elevation Recruitment are working on behalf of a long-established precision engineering manufacturer in Stockport. The business continues to invest in modern machining technology and is now looking to appoint an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Machinist to support ongoing production demands. Salary: Competitive Shift Pattern: Days, 40 hours per week Location: Stockport Requirements • Confident interpreting engineering drawings • Skilled in CNC mill-turn machining – setting, operating, editing and proving out programs • Competent using micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring tools • Strong understanding of tolerances, machining principles and multi-axis operations • High attention to detail with a proactive, team-focused approach • Self-motivated, reliable and committed to producing quality work • Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent • Minimum 5 years’ CNC machining experience • Experience in oil & gas or heavy engineering beneficial but not essential • Experience with Fanuc controls and mill-turn centres advantageous Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC mill-turn machines • Produce complex components to drawing specifications and quality standards • Carry out self-inspection throughout the machining process • Optimise tooling, speeds and feeds for efficient machining • Complete routine and preventative maintenance tasks If this role is of interest please click apply or contact Amy for more information.
