CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator (3+2 Axis) Atherstone | Up to £45,760 Basic + OTE up to £62,000 | 4 on / 4 off Days | 07:30-18:00 | Permanent The Company Our client is a well-established precision engineering company with over 20 years of experience manufacturing high-quality components for the automotive, food processing, heat transfer and general engineering industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller to join their skilled machining team. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller with programming, setting and operating experience on 3+2 Axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls. You'll be responsible for producing high-precision components from engineering drawings while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Duties • Programme, set and operate 3+2 Axis CNC milling machines • Create and edit Heidenhain programmes • Machine precision components to tight tolerances • Read and interpret engineering drawings • Select tooling, feeds and speeds • Carry out first-off and in-process inspection • Make programme improvements to reduce cycle times • Use micrometers, verniers and other measuring equipment • Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety standards • Work closely with the production team to meet delivery targets Candidate Requirements • Previous CNC milling experience • Programming, setting and operating experience • Good knowledge of Heidenhain controls • Experience machining precision components • Able to read engineering drawings • Competent using measuring equipment • Strong attention to detail • Reliable and able to work on your own initiative Benefits • Up to £45,760 basic salary • Realistic OTE up to £62,000 • Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours • Excellent 4 on / 4 off days shift pattern • Modern precision engineering environment • Long-term permanent position • Ongoing investment in machinery and training • Genuine career progression opportunities If you're an experienced CNC Miller looking for excellent earning potential and a fantastic work-life balance, we'd like to hear from you.
