CNC Miller / Setter-Operator - Precision Engineering (Permanent) A successful, expanding precision engineering business is looking to add experienced CNC Millers to its team due to continued growth. This role would suit a time-served or highly experienced CNC Miller / Setter-Operator who can hit the ground running. You'll be working on varied components across a range of metals, batch sizes and complexity, using 3-axis CNC milling machines with Mazatrol or FANUC controls. Basic inspection and a strong eye for detail are essential, and programming ability is a strong advantage. Responsibilities: • Set and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components • Understand engineering drawings and job specifications to plan set-ups • Program/work with offsets where required (Mazatrol or FANUC) • Monitor machining operations, making adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy • Inspect parts using basic measuring equipment to ensure they meet specification • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area Requirements (Essential): • Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Setter-Operator • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings • Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling and inspection basics • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Able to work independently and as part of a team Desirable: • Offline programming capability (required for the top end of the pay range) • EdgeCAM experience Salary & Benefits: • Competitive salary, dependent on experience (top end available for strong offline programmers; EdgeCAM preferred) This is a permanent position.
