CNC Setter/Operator

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator (Aluminium Systems) on behalf of our client based in Braintree on a Permanent basis. Roles & Responsibilities • Operate CNC machinery to cut, drill and machine aluminium profiles. • Upload and run CNC programmes using LogiKal or similar software. • Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and production schedules. • Set up CNC machines, tooling and materials for production runs. • Ensure all work is completed accurately and to specification. • Carry out basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor faults. • Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met. • Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workshop environment. • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices. • Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines. Additional Responsibilities • Previous experience machining aluminium profiles preferred. • Experience with aluminium glazing systems such as Kawneer, Novastruct, Schueco or Metal Technology is advantageous. • Familiarity with LogiKal or similar CNC programming software is beneficial. • Assist in other areas of the workshop when required. Experience, Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment. • Ability to read and interpret engineering or technical drawings. • Competence in setting up CNC machines and tooling. • Good understanding of machining processes and quality standards. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work. • Good problem-solving skills and ability to carry out basic machine fault finding. • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team. • Good awareness of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment. Working Pattern & BenefitsHours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week) Alternative working patterns may also be considered, including: • 5:00am – 1:30pm • 9:00am – 6:00pm Salary: £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience) Market 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering, HR & Finance & ITAD.
