Job Title: CNC Turning Machinist Location: Fife Based Job Type: Temp to Perm Salary: DOE About the Role First Achieve Engineering are working with their prestige client seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Turning setter/programmer to join there growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC turning machines, producing precision components to tight tolerances, and ensuring high-quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities * Set up, operate, and monitor CNC turning lathes to produce precision components * Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications * Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines * Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain tolerances and quality * Troubleshoot and resolve basic machining issues Requirements * Proven experience operating CNC turning lathes * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications * Strong understanding of machining principles and tool selection * Experience with quality control procedures and measuring equipment * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Flexibility to work shifts/overtime when required Desirable * Apprenticeship or vocational training in machining/manufacturing * Experience with Fanuc or Siemens controls * Experience With Manual Measuring Equipment Interested?
