Collections Specialist

Our client is a well-established, FCA-regulated consumer credit company and a market leader in its field. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a professional and empathetic Collections Specialist to join their team based in North London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where you will manage customer loan accounts throughout their lifecycle, working closely with customers to find fair and sustainable solutions while ensuring full compliance with FCA regulations and Consumer Duty. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a portfolio of customer loan accounts from inception through to completion. • Handle inbound and outbound customer contact • Work with customers experiencing financial difficulties to agree realistic and sustainable repayment arrangements. • Identify vulnerable customers and provide appropriate support • Maintain accurate records on the CRM system • Ensure all activity complies with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, company policies and data protection requirements. • Liaise with internal departments and external parties where appropriate. Key Requirements: • Previous experience in collections, arrears or account management within consumer finance or secured lending. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail. • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate records. • A good understanding of FCA regulations, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Consumer Duty.
