Commercial Insurance Development Executive Location: Brighton Salary: £40,000 - £70,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits Package Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Are you a high-performing Commercial Insurance Sales professional who thrives on winning new business? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and driven Commercial Insurance Development Executive to join a highly respected and growing commercial insurance brokerage. This role is perfect for an experienced Commercial Insurance professional who enjoys developing new business, building long-term client relationships and growing a profitable portfolio. Whilst you'll receive a steady flow of qualified leads from the business, you'll also be expected to proactively generate your own opportunities through networking, referrals, business development and relationship building. The Role Working closely with the Branch Director, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new commercial clients across the SME and Mid-Corporate marketplace. You'll manage the entire sales process, from initial prospecting and client meetings through to presenting tailored insurance solutions and converting opportunities into long-term clients. You'll benefit from a combination of company-generated enquiries and your own self-generated business, allowing you to build a substantial portfolio whilst being supported by an experienced Account Handling and Placement team. Key Responsibilities • Develop and win new commercial insurance business across a broad range of industry sectors. • Follow up and convert company-generated leads whilst proactively generating your own pipeline through networking, referrals, cold calling and business development. • Build long-term relationships with clients and become their trusted insurance adviser. • Conduct client fact-finds and risk assessments to understand insurance requirements and recommend suitable solutions. • Present bespoke commercial insurance solutions across a wide range of commercial products. • Consistently achieve and exceed agreed sales and income targets. • Work collaboratively with Account Handlers and Placement teams to ensure outstanding client service. • Maintain an active pipeline using CRM systems and accurately manage sales activity. • Represent the business professionally within the local business community and at networking events. • Keep up to date with market trends, insurer appetite and competitor activity. To apply for this role, you will have the following skills and experience: • A proven track record within Commercial Insurance Sales. • Demonstrable success in generating new business and building lasting client relationships. • Confidence converting both warm leads and self-generated opportunities into long-term clients. • Experience selling Commercial Insurance products including Property, Liability, Motor Fleet, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, D&O and other commercial risks. • A consultative sales approach with exceptional communication and negotiation skills. • A highly motivated, resilient and target-driven mindset with a genuine passion for winning business. • Excellent organisational and relationship-building skills. • Good IT skills and experience using CRM systems. • Full UK driving licence and own transport.
