Reed have partnered with a highly respected insurance broking organisation to recruit a Commercial Insurance Team Leader for their Taunton office. This opportunity would suit either an experienced Team Leader or Manager, or a Senior Commercial Insurance professional looking to step into their first leadership role. Joining at an exciting stage of growth, you'll have the opportunity to influence the development of a local branch, support a small team and play a key role in shaping its future success. This role has been created as part of a long-term growth strategy, offering genuine progression into increased leadership responsibility as the branch expands. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Account Handler, Senior Account Handler or Account Executive looking to take their first step into people leadership while retaining ownership of client relationships. The Opportunity This is not a role where you'll be inheriting a large team and spending your days in management meetings. Instead, you'll enjoy a genuinely varied position that combines: • Account management • SME client development • New business generation • Team leadership and coaching • Relationship management with insurer partners • Supporting the growth of the branch You'll be joining a collaborative business that has ambitious expansion plans. What You'll Be Doing • Managing and developing a portfolio of SME and commercial insurance clients • Generating and converting new business • Building long-term client and insurer relationships • Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments and client reviews • Supporting and mentoring a small operational team • Supporting operational performance and compliance standards • Representing the business at networking and industry events • Contributing to the long-term growth of the Taunton branch What We're Looking For • Strong commercial insurance experience • Experience working with SME and mid-market clients • Leadership experience or a genuine ambition to move into it • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • A proactive and commercially minded approach • CII qualifications (or working towards them) would be advantageous Why Apply?
