The Role
A well-established regional law firm is looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation Solicitor or Associate to join its growing Dispute Resolution team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with around 3–6 years' PQE who enjoys working on a broad range of commercial disputes and wants to continue developing under experienced senior lawyers while building their own client relationships.
You'll advise a varied client base including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and private individuals across a diverse caseload including:
• Contractual disputes
• Partnership and shareholder disputes
• Professional negligence and negligence claims
• Insolvency-related disputes
• Property litigation
• Construction disputes (where experience allows)
Alongside managing your own matters, you'll assist on larger and more complex litigation, advising clients from initial instruction through to resolution.
You'll also be encouraged to get involved in networking and business development as you continue to grow your profile.
About You
You'll be a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with approximately 3–6 years' PQE and experience handling a broad commercial litigation caseload.
Ideally you'll have experience of:
• Commercial and contractual disputes
• Civil litigation procedures and the Civil Procedure Rules
• Managing your own files with direct client responsibility
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and settlement documentation
• Advising clients on litigation strategy and dispute resolution
Experience in property litigation, construction disputes, partnership or shareholder disputes, insolvency litigation or mediation would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
Most importantly, you'll be commercially minded, organised and proactive, with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
