Job description

Communications Coordinator, Central London (hybrid working), Full-time, Permanent, £30,000 plus benefits A leading human rights organisation specialising in the use of technology to support accountability and international justice is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join its team. The organisation works with partners documenting human rights violations and uses innovative technology to help ensure evidence can be authenticated and used in legal investigations and proceedings. Key responsibilities: • Develop engaging written content for digital and print platforms, including website articles, social media, newsletters and press releases. • Manage and grow social media channels, creating timely and impactful content. • Support media engagement, responding to enquiries and coordinating press activity. • Ensure consistency of tone, style and messaging across all communications. • Create outreach materials for partners and stakeholders internationally. • Produce briefing documents and impact materials using creative and accessible formats. • Develop internal communications guidelines and support effective content workflows. • Provide communications support to colleagues across the organisation as required. Ideally you will have: • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to varied audiences. • Experience creating and managing content across digital platforms, including websites and social media. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure communications are accurate, balanced and aligned with organisational values. • Experience developing communications strategies and delivering campaigns across digital and traditional channels. • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. • A collaborative and proactive approach, with the confidence to work across teams. A degree or equivalent qualification in communications, journalism, public relations, international relations, law or a related discipline is desirable. Experience within human rights, international justice, civil society or not-for-profit organisations would be advantageous, alongside knowledge of website management, HTML, Canva or other design tools.
