Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Can you support a child with communication, independence and confidence as well as their learning? We're seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within specialist education settings supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism, learning difficulties, sensory needs and physical disabilities. You'll work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to help pupils access education in a way that works for them. Patience, empathy and a positive attitude are far more important than previous school experience. Your responsibilities may include: • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis • Assisting with communication strategies • Supporting sensory and emotional regulation • Encouraging independence and social interaction • Assisting with personal care where required Ideal candidates will have: • A caring and nurturing approach • Strong communication skills • Experience supporting SEN, care or vulnerable individuals • A genuine passion for helping children thrive • The ability to work at least 1-2 days per week from 08.30 to 15.30 (full-time roles also available) Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to start a rewarding career in SEN education, we'd love to hear from you.
