Component Manufacturing Production Controller (8758) Location: Dorking, Surrey Salary: Up to £38,165 per annum DOE Work pattern: Full time, on site 37.5 hours per week working 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with 60 minutes unpaid lunch. About the Role Jade Recruitment is partnering with a leading UK manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Component Manufacturing Production Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with production control, planning, logistics, or manufacturing coordination experience to play a key role in ensuring efficient production flow and on-time delivery. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will manage production orders, coordinate subcontract activities, maintain ERP/MRP system accuracy, and work closely with production, stores, procurement, planning, and suppliers to keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities • Manage and action ERP/MRP system-generated production requirements. • Release and control production orders in line with operational priorities. • Monitor material availability and resolve shortages affecting production schedules. • Investigate and rectify production and system transaction issues. • Coordinate subcontract manufacturing activities, ensuring timely dispatch and returns. • Maintain subcontract schedules to support production deadlines. • Monitor ageing production orders and proactively reduce overdue work. • Process production pick slips and control material movements accurately. • Maintain accurate production records and system data. • Liaise across production, planning, procurement, stores, and supplier teams to resolve issues. • Escalate risks and delays that could impact customer deliveries. • Support continuous improvement initiatives within production control. • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality, and health & safety. About You We're looking for someone who brings: Essential Experience • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production control, planning, or logistics environment. • Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production order processing. • Experience coordinating production activities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. • Confident Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments. Desirable Experience • Experience within fabrication, sheet metal, welding, or component manufacturing. • Knowledge of subcontract manufacturing processes. • Understanding of production logistics and material control. Physical Requirements • Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment. • Ability to move and handle materials weighing up to 15kg where required. • Willing to work in conditions that may include noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
