Job Title: Computer Science Lecturer (Temporary) Contract Type: Temporary / Agency Assignment Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications) Start Date: Ongoing opportunities available About the Role We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Computer Science Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is a temporary opportunity offering flexibility and the chance to make a real impact on learners studying Computer Science across a variety of programmes and levels. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and practical computing skills while helping them achieve their academic and career goals. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons. • Teach Computer Science to learners across a range of levels and abilities. • Assess, monitor, and track student progress. • Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners. • Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Support learners in developing practical computing, programming, and digital skills. • Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression. Requirements • Relevant degree or qualification in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related subject. • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent). • Experience teaching Computer Science within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. • Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities. • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for computing and technology education. • Experience with programming, software development, networking, cybersecurity, or related areas is desirable.
