Job description

Construction Solicitor – Contentious – London A leading UK firm is looking to strengthen its London construction disputes team with the hire of an Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven litigator who wants to work on high-value, technically challenging matters within a well-resourced and expanding practice. The Opportunity You’ll join a sizeable contentious construction group handling a broad mix of disputes including precedent setting high Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court cases. You’ll manage your own caseload and you will be given meaningful responsibility from day one as well as supporting senior lawyers on major matters and contributing to the team’s wider thought leadership and client engagement activity. What You’ll Be Doing • Running your own contentious construction files • Drafting submissions, pleadings, witness evidence and client-facing advice • Acting on adjudications, arbitrations, mediations and court proceedings • Building strong client relationships and supporting BD initiatives • Contributing to seminars, training sessions and publications About You You’ll be a confident, commercially minded construction disputes lawyer with: • 3–5 years’ PQE in contentious construction • Solid understanding of the key legislation and procedural rules governing construction disputes • Experience running your own matters and working directly with clients • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills • A proactive, organised and collaborative approach • Interest in business development and contributing to a growing team Why This Role? • High-quality, varied and strategically interesting disputes • A supportive, ambitious team with genuine growth momentum • Early responsibility and clear progression pathways • Exposure to major development and remediation work • A firm known for its pragmatic, commercial approach If you’re a construction litigator looking for a role with depth, challenge and long-term opportunity, we’d be keen to speak with you. #INDCATS
