Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

FULL JD/PS IS ATTACHED The team model includes joint working between Psychiatry and allocated care-coordinator as well as individual working with young people and their families to provide developmentally informed evidence-based treatments. The consultant will have a small caseload of around 15 patients as well as providing psychiatric assessments of other young people as required. Liaison with Tier 4 inpatient services, CAMHS extended crisis service (CECS) and the developing Home Treatment Team (HTT) is a key expectation of the role, as are relationships with the Homerton Hospital, and Childrens Social Care. The AMHT plays a key role in the service with consultation to other pathways and timely intervention for high risk young people requiring more intensive care. The post holder will also be expected to see on average one new routine assessment per week in the assessment clinic.
