Consultant in Anaesthesia

The post holders will work a 10 PA contract based at Hammersmith Hospital joining an on-call rota set at 1:8. We are looking for motivated candidates interested in anaesthesia for major general surgery and peri-operative medicine. The successful applicant will cover major general surgery lists which include hepatobiliary, upper GI, endocrine and major gynae-oncology surgery. The post will also include one day per week at St Marys Hospital undertaking anaesthesia for orthopaedic and plastics trauma surgery. The successful applicant will become part of our busy department. The workload demands a flexible and responsive service to both emergency and elective work within the operating theatre environment. In addition to a broad range of both elective and emergency clinical work, the post-holder will have ample opportunity to be involved in research, teaching and training, governance and leadership opportunities, as well as QI projects.
