Job description

The Gastroenterology and GIM Department has a dedicated ward (Ward G5 and F12) for care of patients with gastro-hepatological and acute medical problems. The staff office houses the entire complement of the medical Gastroenterology Department which facilitates a team approach to the management of our patients. The Team holds a weekly meeting for consultant supervised audit and education. We are looking to recruit to a standard job plan of 10 sessions per week, and details of the job plan can be agreed with the successful candidate. There will be expectation to contribute to the Physician of the Day rota for unselected medical take on weekdays and weekends. Being able to lead in complex MDT/Board Round discussions on ongoing care and making advanced care planning decisions will be essential to help support patient flow out of the hospital.
