Job description

Control Panel Builder We are recruiting an experienced Control Panel Builder to join a busy electrical manufacturing team. This hands-on role is ideal for a skilled assembler who takes pride in producing high-quality electrical control panels and similar assemblies. Key responsibilities - Build, wire and assemble control panels, enclosures and electrical assemblies to specification - Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions - Terminate wires, install components (relays, PLCs, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, connectors, etc.) and route wiring neatly and safely - Perform continuity checks, insulation and functional testing using multimeters and test equipment - Identify and resolve assembly or wiring issues; apply corrective actions as required - Ensure work meets quality standards, documentation requirements and safety regulations - Keep accurate assembly records and participate in continuous improvement activities Required skills and experience - Proven experience building and wiring control panels or similar electrical assemblies - Ability to read electrical schematics and follow assembly instructions accurately - Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in electrical assembly - Strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity and neat workmanship - Basic electrical test and fault-finding skills - Commitment to safe working practices and ability to work to deadlines Desirable - Basic electrical or apprenticeship qualification (electrical, electro-mechanical or similar) - Experience with PLC wiring, HMI wiring or industrial automation components - IPC or other quality/assembly certification What we offer - Competitive hourly pay and overtime opportunities - On-the-job training and opportunities for career progression - Supportive team environment and stable manufacturing role - Standard benefits package (holiday entitlement, pension scheme, etc.)
