About us We are a small private day nursery located in Isleworth, catering for 20 children aged 12 months to 4 years. We have been providing childcare for over 42 years. Our nursery is run from a beautiful grade 2 listed building. We have a small amazing team of staff and our aim is to ensure we build great relationships as a team and ensure all staff feel valued, and have a sense of pride in their role. Children are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an experienced nursery cook who can prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks daily. Ideally someone who has previously worked in a children's nursery, care home or school. A valid Food Hygiene certificate (training can be arranged for this certificate) A cooking qualification is prefered but not essential Duties and responsibilities Responsibilities of a nursery cook include: . Preparing and cooking meals (lunch tea and snacks, and any special functions)in accordance with the daily menus, whilst monitoring portion sizes, allergies, and cultural requirements. . Ensuring all foods are ready at specified times and serving correct food to children with known allergies or specific requirements. . Maintaining cleanliness and food hygiene standards in the kitchen, including proper storage and serving temperatures. . Preventing cross contamination and ensuring all foods are adequately covered and dated. . Ordering food/ingredients online in line with menu requirements, and maintaining correct stock levels. . Following daily kitchen and equipment cleaning schedules (including periodical deep cleaning) and adhering to policies and procedures. . Communicating daily with the staff team about each child's dietary requirements and ensuring all food is prepared and ready for days off. . Work with the manager and staff to prepare daily menus. . Daily, weekly and monthly completion of required paperwork. . Adhering to all nursery policies and procedures Experience and qualifications We are looking for a nursery cook, who can prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks daily.
