Job Title: Counterbalance Forklift Driver (Royal Mail) – ELDC Location: ELDC – East London Distribution Centre, RM20 3ED Employer: Royal Mail, on behalf of Pertemps Working Hours & Days: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm Pay Rate: £15.95 per hour Assignment Type: Temporary Ongoing Forklift Driver – Join the Royal Mail Team Pertemps are currently recruiting experienced Forklift Drivers to work on behalf of Royal Mail at their ELDC site. Key Responsibilities • Safely operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and move mail and parcels throughout the warehouse. • Ensure goods are handled efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy. • Support warehouse operations by moving stock to designated locations. • Carry out daily equipment checks and report any faults or defects. • Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations. • Assist with general warehouse duties when required. Requirements • Valid, in-date Counterbalance forklift licence • Previous experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse or distribution environment. • Strong awareness of health and safety practices. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime where required.
