The role involves delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task. You will be stepping into busy school settings, so the ability to remain calm, organised and proactive is essential. About the role As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and focused learning environment Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND needs where required Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff Adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups Support learning continuity during staff absence What we are looking for We are looking for candidates who bring professionalism, resilience and a genuine interest in education. You must have: A minimum of 6 months' experience working within a school setting A degree (essential requirement) Strong classroom management skills A calm, patient and reliable approach The ability to work well under pressure and solve problems quickly Confidence in supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team A flexible and consistent approach to availability, including daily emergency cover and long-term assignments Personal qualities Successful candidates will be: Dedicated and dependable Resilient in challenging classroom situations Proactive problem-solvers Passionate about supporting young people's learning and development If you are enthusiastic about working in education and meet the requirements above, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain varied and rewarding experience across local schools while making a meaningful impact on pupils' lives.
