Tradewind Education is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Secondary Cover Supervisors to work across our fantastic partnership secondary schools in the Worksop area from September. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience. The RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-planned lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task. You will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment while supporting schools across the Worksop area. Key Responsibilities • Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of secondary subjects. • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. • Ensure students remain engaged and complete the work set. • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. • Report back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour, and lesson outcomes. • Adapt confidently to different school environments and year groups. Requirements • Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Confidence leading a classroom independently. • A flexible, professional, and positive attitude. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. • Right to work in the UK. • Ability to travel to schools across the Worksop area.
