Job description

• Carry out planned and reactive work appropriate to core skills in addition to other duties (dependent on relevant training) in order to achieve flexibility and efficiency. • Diagnose and repair faults on complex Electrical and Mechanical installations, plant, engineering systems, and equipment in accordance with current regulations and guidance. • Work on a wide range of hospital electrical systems including but not limited to Electrical installations, emergency generators, control systems, electrical motors / drive systems, nurse call systems, domestic equipment, fire alarms, catering equipment, lighting systems, heating systems, ventilation plant, boiler plant, building energy management system and communication systems. • Manufacture, assemble, erect and install new installation work unsupervised to a recognised standard within an acceptable timescale. • Perform a wide range of work of other trades. • Carry out repairs, maintain and efficiently run engineering plant & equipment. • Use all relevant test equipment, tools and equipment. • To interpret and work from complex engineering drawings & wiring diagrams and specifications with appropriate methods and sequence of operation. • To plan and manage the working day based on work orders issued by supervisor. • To carry out work in accordance with health and safety requirements, Trust policies, procedures and regulations.
