Crane Operative

Overhead Crane Slinger Location: Loughborough Job Type: 6 months ( Temp to perm) Working Hours: Mon to Thurs 7am -4pm, Fri 7am to 1pm We are currently recruiting for an experienced Overhead Crane Slinger to join a busy and well-established manufacturing company in Loughborough. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term, temp-to-perm position with a company that values safety, teamwork, and reliability. Key Responsibilities • Operating overhead cranes ranging from 25-tonne to 150-tonne capacity. • Slinging and safely moving large steel coils and other heavy products around the site. • Matching product numbers and ensuring materials are moved to the correct locations. • Working closely with production and logistics teams to maintain efficient workflow. • Carrying out pre-use equipment checks and following all health and safety procedures. • Working at height where required in accordance with site procedures. Requirements • Previous experience as an Overhead Crane Slinger. • Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence. • Experience operating overhead cranes up to 150 tonnes. • Working at Heights training or certification. • Ability to accurately identify and match product numbers. • Strong awareness of health and safety within an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team. --- Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
