Job description

REED are exclusively working with a Bournemouth based family Construction business, recruiting a Credit Controller to work within a small and friendly team. The company are supportive, have a genuine warmth to the business and operate a multi branch business with the head office in Bournemouth. Please see details below: Credit Controller / Accounts Administrator Full Time: 9am - 5pm (Office Based) - Free, onsite parking available Salary - £14.28 per hour (£ hours Duties: • Process and allocate receipts for Bacs & Cheques • Take payments over the phone & process card payments on the PDQ machine and on the in-house system (shortly we will be switching to on-line payments) • Reconcile unallocated cash • Credit check new applications & requests for credit limit increases using Experian / Top Service • Open new accounts • Chase overdue accounts by telephone/email (Currently approximately 500-600 per month per person) • Answer incoming calls from Branches & Customers • Update and maintain notes on the system when a customer or branch calls • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity • Ensure debts are paid in-line with the credit control collection timetable • Monitor Credit Control mailbox • Change addresses, telephone & and account settings when required • Liaise with all branches/branch managers to resolve disputes • Housekeeping manual / computer Requirements: • Must have experience in Credit Control or have good telephone skills to learn • Be methodical, have good attention to detail and able to multi task • Must have knowledge of Excel & Word • Be able to work and support team members and use on own initiative • Good admin skills and able to work quickly, efficiently and effectively.
