Credit Controller

If you're a Credit Controller who enjoys building relationships rather than simply chasing debt, this could be worth exploring. You'll have ownership of your ledger, work closely with stakeholders across the business, and play a key role in improving cash flow while delivering an excellent customer experience. What you'll be doing: • Taking ownership of your customer portfolio, ensuring invoices are collected within agreed payment terms. • Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues before they become problems. • Managing overdue debt via phone and email while maintaining accurate records of all activity. • Investigating and resolving invoice queries and disputes. • Completing account reconciliations and supporting cash allocation where required. • Working with customer portals and ensuring invoicing processes run smoothly. • Monitoring payment trends and identifying risks early, proposing practical solutions. • Supporting the wider finance team with reporting, credit notes and continuous process improvements. What they're looking for: You'll already have experience in a busy credit control environment and be someone who enjoys speaking with people just as much as working with numbers. You'll also bring: • Previous Credit Control experience with ownership of a sales ledger. • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders at every level. • Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills. • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. • The ability to prioritise a busy workload and stay on top of deadlines. • A proactive mindset, you don't wait for problems to find you.
