Job description

MB Connected is delighted to be partnering with a respected organisation to recruit a Credit Controller on a 12-month fixed term contract. Joining a collaborative finance team, you'll take ownership of your own ledger, build strong relationships with customers and play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller looking to join a supportive team with hybrid working and a positive working culture. Key Responsibilities • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring outstanding debt is collected in line with agreed payment terms. • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage prompt payment and resolve account queries. • Proactively chase overdue invoices via telephone and email. • Investigate and resolve invoice disputes by working closely with internal departments. • Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts. • Produce aged debt reports and provide updates on collection activity. • Escalate high-risk accounts where appropriate and recommend suitable actions. • Support month-end activities and contribute to continuous process improvements within the finance function. Key Requirements • Previous experience within a Credit Control role. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships. • Confident managing your own ledger and prioritising workload effectively. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and finance systems. • A proactive, resilient and positive approach to work. • Ability to work independently whilst contributing to a collaborative team environment.
