Credit Controller

A well-established business in York is looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a driven and proactive Credit Controller. This role is a 6 month contract. • A strong candidate for this position will need: • AAT qualified to minimum level 3 or qualified by experience • Confident communicating with customers and internal stakeholders • Strong understanding of cash collection, aged debt management, and account reconciliation • A proactive attitude, with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel The duties of this role include: • Managing the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt • Chasing overdue payments via phone and email in a professional manner • Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts • Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries • Building strong relationships with both customers and internal teams • Assisting with improving credit control procedures and processes What’s on offer • 6 month contract • Competitive salary • On-site parking This role is a great opportunity to join a growing and fast-paced business that values development and continuous improvement.
