Credit Risk Manager A well-established international banking institution in London is seeking an experienced Credit Risk Manager to join its Risk function. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders while playing a key part in the oversight and monitoring of a diverse credit portfolio. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Risk, you will support the management and oversight of credit risk across corporate, financial institution, and sovereign portfolios. You will contribute to maintaining a robust credit risk framework, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practice across the organisation. Key Responsibilities • Provide independent, high-quality credit risk monitoring and portfolio oversight • Monitor portfolio health against internal requirements and market best practices • Ensure accurate recording of credit facilities and compliance with approved terms • Oversee loan disbursements, covenant tracking, and ongoing credit conditions • Monitor timely completion of credit reviews, ratings, and regulatory classifications • Identify, escalate, and report limit breaches, KRIs, and emerging risks • Track market developments and news impacting credit exposures • Collaborate with business areas while maintaining independence of risk oversight • Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit risk policies, processes, and controls • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal policy requirements About You • Degree educated (or equivalent professional qualification) • Strong experience in credit risk management within wholesale banking • Solid understanding of corporate, FI, and sovereign credit exposures • Good knowledge of wholesale banking and treasury products • Familiarity with UK regulatory expectations and frameworks Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
